Till date, Brad Keselowski has never won a NASCAR All-Star race. He had a close call on at least three occasions but never quite managed the win. This year as well, he finished second best in the race, with Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson winning. The Penske driver confessed that the Hendrick cars are way too quick.
He said, “It feels like running second to the Hendrick cars right now is an accomplishment. They are just stupid fast. I had him off turn 4 but they just have so much speed. He just motored right back by me, like damn! It feels like a first-in-class day with the Discount Tired Ford. The team did a great job of executing and getting us in position, we just didn’t have enough speed to make the most of it.”

Despite the disappointment of losing yet again, Keselowski was happy with his performance. He insisted that the car was the best one that he had ever driven. Unfortunately, he could not make any inroads on Larson.

What else did Brad Keselowski say?
The 2012 champion noted that though he was able to close up, passing was a completely different story. This was because the draft stopped working after a bit. Apparently, the #5 Hendrick Motorsports car was too fast down the straightaway. Despite Keselowski’s package, he found it close to impossible to draft the Hendrick cars.
Now, that he knows that the HMS cars are quick, he and Penske can work to close the gap. On a positive note, Brad Keselowski felt that his #2 team executed the race very well and got him in a great position. Sadly, he lacked the raw speed to challenge the Hendrick boys. Now, he will be eager to compete in the next race and try to stop the Hendrick freight train in its tracks.
