The race in Chicago has certainly built a lot of excitement among the NASCAR faithful. With the novelty and unpredictability of the street course race, anything seems possible. While Kyle Busch remains one of the favorites to win it, he certainly gave the fans something to laugh about prior to the race.

With three wins already to his name this season, not many have performed as well in the Cup Series as Busch had. While fans would love Busch to have a victory on the weekend, their focus was shifted elsewhere before the race.

The 75th anniversary of NASCAR has been an eventful one with a number of “special features” planned out. One of them includes racing in the streets of Chicago on the Fourth of July weekend. As it is the first time in the history of the Cup Series that a street race is being carried out, it certainly has the drivers concerned, primarily because of acute turns, narrow lanes, and bumpy track.

Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, and some others have looked uncertain about how the race would pan out. Rowdy, in particular, spoke in detail at Nashville last week about the difficulties with the track’s layout. He said, “It’s really rough. It’s bumpy. It’s slippery. There’s some corners that are very challenging.. some blind ones at that.”

Given the daunting challenge the track possesses, Busch said, “Survival…it’s going to be a survival race”. While that could be only determined with time, the Richard Childress Racing driver took a stroll on the track on Saturday morning. As reported by Fox Sports journalist Bob Pockrass, the #8 driver was seen carrying a banana and coffee with him.

It was after the Atlanta race that Brad Keselowski was seen in a rush after stepping out of his #6 Ford. The reason behind this was for him to use one of the porta-potties. While he was using one, he mistakenly forgot to lock it and it was Denny Hamlin who opened the door unknowingly, resulting in an awkward affair.

With Kyle Busch’s combination of banana and coffee, fans thought of it as a deadly mix. One fan said, “Dangerous combo if there aren’t any port a pottys nearby!” Another one couldn’t help but add more fun to this joke as he said, “Perhaps that’s where he’s heading lol.” Someone else pointed out the same, saying, Looks like a winning combo to me #rowdynation.

In a similar context, one fan said, “It has JOKE WRITTEN ALL OVER IT.” It was indeed hilarious how fans reacted to what was a normal and harmless activity from Busch.
