While from a distance, and rightly so, it may seem that things are in a slump for Brad Keselowski and his No.6 team, it’s getting better all the time. At least that’s how the driver-owner feels in the aftermath of the massive NASCAR penalties.
The penalties were so dire that Keselowski stopping in the wrong stall for a pit stop at Martinsville last night would’ve made fans make fun of the driver. But that didn’t happen.
Instead, a fan pointed out how strong the No.6 was looking in the race, and how it will pay off. “You were taking off before that last caution. Way to stay on the lead lap in stage 2 as well. It’ll come soon,” the fan wrote.

This led to Brad Keselowski replying with his own assessment of his race, which was quite a bright one despite him finishing in the 17th place.
“Definitely had some bright spots. The last 50 laps we were definitely a top-3 car. Crazy how tough it was to pass. I think that caught a lot of people off guard,” he replied.

With eyes set on wins and playoffs, Brad Keselowski is moving on
In a recent interview, the RFK driver-owner spoke about his approach now that even their appeal to the penalty was rejected by NASCAR. “It’s time for us to move on and focus on what we need to win, and the rest of it is just noise to us,” Keselowski said.

The No.6 driver added that they’ve “made major progress.” He explained, “We unloaded at the Coliseum and we were a mile off. We didn’t get where we need to be. Both cars missed the main race and today we’ve got two cars in the top 10.”
Brad Keselowski insists that his team is “significantly more competitive” now, something he needs to be considering what his ambitions are, or rather, how his ambitions have been irrespective of the penalty.

“I don’t think you’re going to make the playoffs if you don’t win races this year,” he said. “Not that the penalty doesn’t hurt, not that it’s not impactful, it is.”
