And now, Bubba Wallace’s spotter Freddie Kraft has some strong opinions about him and his future with Richard Childress Racing. In a recent episode of his podcast, Door Bumper Clear, Kraft revealed that he feels that Kyle Busch has a tendency to quit whenever he doesn’t get what he wants.
During the podcast, veteran NASCAR spotter Brett Griffin discussed the issue of RCR and Tyler Reddick. After signing in Busch, RCR decided to give Reddick’s charter to Busch and have announced their plans of acquiring a third charter for Reddick in the 2023 season. This is because the #8 is one of the best cars that RCR runs currently.
However, as compared to Kyle Busch’s #18 at the Joe Gibbs Racing, the #8 would not be an easy ride for Busch. While talking about the privilege Busch has had over the years Freddie Kraft said; “Kyle Busch has never really had to do more with less. He has always been in the best sh*t in the garage.”
Although the co-host of the podcast, TJ Majors didn’t agree with Kraft. Instead, he pointed out; “That’s wrong. You’re wrong. When he started his Xfinity team?” But to Kraft’s rescue, Brett Griffin interjected. He asked Majors “But how long did that last?”
Glad that Griffin gets his point, Kraft continued; “That’s what I am saying. The second he didn’t have what he felt like he needed, he quit.” Further he explained that Busch has always been with the best teams in the sport. May it be JGR or Hendrick Motorsports.
And now, with joining RCR, Busch has the chance to prove himself. he said; “The one time he had to fend for himself, he quit. So, it’s gonna be interesting to see how he does now. We will see if he can turn that ship around and make it a good car.”
When will Kyle Busch join Richard Childress Racing?
Kyle Busch signed a multi-year contract with Richard Childress Racing (RCR), earlier this September. RCR’s driver, Tyler Reddick had already announced his intentions of joining 23XI Racing in 2024. And now Reddick’s #8 has been authorised as Kyle Busch’s ride for the 2023 season
