The duo soon started to share more about how they simply love traditional food and the kind of stuffings that are their favorite for the traditional turkey roast. While Amy got candid about her likings, she eventually revealed why she does not prefer roasting turkey anymore. She said, “I have also accidentally roasted the whole thing and didn’t get the gizzard bag out or the neck, which is f—in repulsive. Thought I had all the stuff out and, like, got done making it. I’m like, Oh, sh-t”. Well, that does sound like a disaster, right?

While Amy shared what gave her an ick, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was seen laughing uncontrollably at the same. Earnhardt Jr. retorted, “I don’t know why I get a laugh out of Amy getting grossed out.” Amy’s Thanksgiving turkey mishap is a tale many can relate to, but few are brave enough to share it on a podcast for millions to hear! Her candid confession of leaving the gizzard bag in the bird had Dale rolling with laughter—and listeners too. Let’s just say the Earnhardt household might skip the turkey drama this year in favor of less “repulsive” feasts. As for Amy, her honesty has reminded us all: Thanksgiving is less about perfection and more about the laughs and memories along the way—gizzard bags and all!
