It seems like Kyle Busch and his family are enjoying the off-season. Rowdy, along with his wife Samantha and their two children Brexton and Lennix recently took a trip to the West Coast for Thanksgiving, soaking up the sun and exploring the major cities. After a demanding Cup Series campaign, the Busch family deserves some well-earned rest, even though the 39-year-old has been busy competing in Midget Racing ahead of his 2025 campaign.

While Tony Stewart and Leah Pruett are enjoying time in the United Kingdom with their newborn, watching people swim across the channel, the Busch family seem to have adventures of their own in the Pacific Ocean.

It hasn’t been an easy season for Kyle Busch. The Richard Childress Racing driver was winless in the Cup Series in 2024, breaking a streak that has existed for 19 years. The veteran racing driver has come agonizingly close on several occasions, narrowly missing out on victory in Atlanta, Darlington, and Daytona International Speedway. Given his frustrations, the Busch family needed a getaway during the off-season, to help Rowdy clear his mind and approach the 2025 campaign with a fresh look. What better way to relax and unwind than by spending some quality family time on the beach?

In an Instagram reel uploaded by Kyle Busch’s wife Samantha, their son Brexton was seen approaching the Pacific Ocean, even though the water was very cold. The lifestyle blogger was seen asking her son, “What are you about to do?” to which he replied, “Jump in the Pacific” and when asked why was he wet, the nine-year-old replied, “Because I was in the pool”. Samantha Busch then went on to ask about the water temperature in the pool, Brexton Busch replied, “97” before revealing that the ocean was an estimated 20 degrees. The father-son duo were then seen running towards the ocean before immersing themselves in the icy waters.

Meanwhile, Tony Stewart and his wife Leah Pruett are in the United Kingdom along with their newborn son Dominic James Stewart. The trio were seen enjoying the lights in London, with Pruett saying, “Brrr… Wild to watch people swim across the channel in the 50ish degree water to race for the prize of pressing the button to light up the English Village under the London Bridge ! ❄️🎄💦” It seems like swimming in freezing temperatures seems to be a theme that NASCAR families seem to have adopted this off-season, going by the Instagram posts being uploaded by some prominent figures within the sport.

It hasn’t been all fun and games for Kyle Busch, now that the Cup Series season has ended. The 39-year-old racing driver has been competing in Midget Racing during the off-season, recently making his debut at Bakersfield. Despite looking like he might secure a win, sparks flew out of his car’s exhaust after leading his first few laps, which ended his race in heartbreak. However, his goal of competing in the 2025 Chili Bowl is still in his sights and Rowdy has time to redeem himself before the iconic event takes place next year.

It’s not easy being married to a racecar driver. Just ask Samantha Busch, who is on the road for 38 weeks of the year, following her husband Kyle Busch from one racetrack to another, wherever the Cup Series calendar takes them. While she has gotten accustomed to the lifestyle, the off-season presents a unique opportunity for some degree of stability, which she treasures. However, Rowdy’s Midget Racing adventures have been keeping the family occupied during the winter months as well, prompting the lifestyle blogger to wish for some quality family time.

When asked by a fan if she gets time with family during the off-season, Samantha Busch candidly said, “Honestly this off season is already getting jam packed but trying my best to block off some down time. Literally just nights to sit at home and watch a movie as a family it’s been a crazy busy year.” It seems like the 38-year-old philanthropist saw her wish come true, as she recently uploaded an Instagram post of the family enjoying time on vacation, and wrote the caption, “Life on the west coast”.

The lifestyle blogger recently joked that she hoped her son Brexton would pursue a career in Formula 1 instead of NASCAR so that she could travel around the world. In an Instagram story featuring her son’s photo, Samantha Busch wrote, “Asking him if he’d rather race f1 selfishly checking out Monaco and Dubai wouldn’t suck”. Earlier, Kyle Busch was seen riding a motorbike while his two kids drove motorcars around the family’s neighborhood, which was accompanied by the caption, “What “off season” day 2 looks like at our house.”
