For a NASCAR team to be successful, it is so essential to have a winning mentality among the team members. Many wondered how Kyle Busch would fare out at Richard Childress Racing this season. His recent win at the Auto Club 400 speaks volumes of his abilities behind the steering. In addition to his driving capabilities, his experience and leadership will also prove to be invaluable to the team. Busch’s new teammate, Austin Dillon, could not contain his excitement after the 37-year-old marked his return with a deserved victory on Sunday.
Along with the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Dillon has enjoyed a good start to the season. He finished second at the Los Angeles Coliseum and ninth at Fontana. The 32-year-old recently explained how Busch’s arrival has helped the team.

The RCR team was in high spirits after the race. When asked if any significant difference was noticed with Kyle Busch joining RCR, Austin Dillon replied, “I do. I think the biggest thing is everybody is really on task and working hard and we’ve always been that way, we just needed, last year was really the trend. We were super happy with last year and wanted to keep that momentum going and we got the right people in place now.”
Austin Dillon revealed what has changed at the garage after Rowdy’s arrival. The 2018 Daytona 500 winner said, “I’m glad Kyle’s over here. It’s just a great fit. Me and Kyle, really, do like hanging around each other and talking race cars.”

“RCR is home for him (Busch) now and it’s awesome to get that first win; obviously that happened fast. I just wish we would have been battling up there with him cause that would have been three weeks in a row right there in the top three…Any win is big for us at RCR, so we are gonna keep tallying it all up and now it’s the three teams’ turn to lock in.”

If there is one thing Kyle Busch definitely wants in his career, it is a Daytona 500 win. In the opening race of the season, the two-time Cup Series champion was terribly close to making it happen. In fact, he was leading in the 200 lap. But the race went into extra time, and that made all the difference.
