Former NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr revealed that he received a rather panicked phone call from Kyle Busch, right after Junior predicted where the two-time cup champion is headed. He also told how Busch apparently forced him to send another Tweet to confuse people.

Junior said, “So I put out a tweet about Busch going to an eight ball, which is basically Kyle going to the 8 car. I regret sending that tweet, and Kyle calls me and he’s like dude! what are you doing, and I’m like man, you know everybody is speculating I’m just jumping into this conversation man. And he’s like he’s giving me a hard time, and I’m like so I’m right? Am I right about this and he’s like dude wait till Tuesday, why couldn’t you wait till Tuesday to send that tweet and he says send another Tweet!, send another Tweet!.”

“So I’m like okay what Tweet do you want me to send so, me and him came up with the basketball Tweet to sort of throw people off. At some point, there was probably some conversations between him and 23XI about driving a number 32 car. Actually, he told me. he’s like send the tweet with me going to the 45 car and I said well that’s your brother’s car, let’s not do that.”

This Tuesday, Richard Childress and Kyle Busch held a press conference, where they formally announced the deal to have the two-time Cup Series Champion race for them from the next season onwards.

The sponsor details have still not been announced, but we know that Busch will be officially driving the number 8 car. Exactly what Dale Jr had predicted before. RCR is a team built up on Dale Earnhardt Sr’s legacy when they won multiple championships with the legendary driver. However, ever since RCR hasn’t been that lucky, but with the arrival of two-time Cup champion Kyle Busch, things could change for the good.

Although, this deal puts the former number 8 driver, Tyler Reddick, into question regarding his future. But reports suggest that the team might head for a third charter after Childress was heard stating that Reddick would continue to drive for them in 2023.
