The 2023 NASCAR season has been one wild rollercoaster ride for the Ford powerhouse with twists, turns, and a few loop-de-loops. Now, with the playoffs round of 8 underway, the only thing left is a thrilling showdown in Martinsville before the Championship 4 finale. Ford’s hopes are perched on the shoulders of Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney and the RFK Racing ace Chris Buescher. Blaney is the lone ranger above the cutline, holding on with a 10-point margin. Ford, with its illustrious history in the NASCAR Cup series and 17 championship titles under its belt, is eager to shake off the dust from a rather lackluster 2023 season.

The Next Gen Ford Mustang had a tough time finding its groove, currently languishing at the bottom of the manufacturer standings. But Ford Performance is ready to hit the track in style in 2024 with the all-new Ford Mustang. The online media is sizzling with excitement as we’ve just got a glimpse of the 2024 Mustang as it tears up at the Daytona International Speedway.

This Mustang isn’t just here to participate; it’s here to dominate. It’s entering the ring with a whopping 6 models, ready to take on GT4, GT3, Supercars, NASCAR, and NHRA Factory X series. At the heart of this beast is a fourth-generation Coyote V8 engine, which promises to make this Mustang the most exhilarating and visceral one yet. We’re talking power, speed, and that unmistakable Mustang roar that sends shivers down your spine.

But NASCAR fans are no strangers to Ford on the ovals. In 2023, the new Mustang GT played pace car for seven NASCAR races during the regular season, with its first dance in Martinsville back in April. The Grabber Blue body with those dark blue stripes on the hood—sheer perfection. And let’s not forget the stylized horse logo on each rear fender and those bold blue brake calipers, adding a dash of color to the spectacle.

Yet, what really set hearts racing were the leaked images of the seventh-generation Ford Mustang Dark Horse. It’s got its own unique fender logo, featuring a fierce horse’s head surrounded by a stylized horseshoe. The blue, white, and red paint job, along with the running horse on the body, has the online stock car racing community on the edge of their seats as they watched the leaked images of the new Mustang commercial being filmed in Daytona.

The Dark Horse is, without a doubt, a thoroughbred. It’s the most track-focused 5.0-liter V8 model ever, born from three years of hard work by Ford. It has got the guts, too, with the V8 boasting connecting rods from the legendary Shelby GT500. Add in dual throttle bodies, and Ford is projecting it to produce 500 horsepower and a whopping 418 lb-ft of torque.

As the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse made its grand entrance on the Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR fans couldn’t contain their excitement, and their reactions speak volumes. One enthusiastic supporter exclaimed, “Those are sharp looking Mustangs.”

Another fan was particularly impressed with the paint job, stating, “I dig the paint job.” The striking blue, white, and red color scheme truly left a lasting impression. Even a die-hard Chevy fan couldn’t help but be swayed, admitting, “I am a Chevy fan, but holy hell, it looks gorgeous.”

However, not everyone was completely won over, as one fan remarked, “Paint scheme looks great, unfortunately, I really hate the nose and look of the new car. Looks really ugly.” But overall, the response was overwhelmingly positive, with fans claiming, That’s so sick,” and praising the design. “Those hood vents, god damn,” exclaimed one, while another declared it the “best looking cup car, no question.”

In anticipation of the Mustang’s racing debut, one fan summed up the collective sentiment perfectly: “Ngl, that thing looks slick as hell. Can’t wait to see it next year.”
