For Chase Elliott, the Bristol Motor Speedway isn’t just a racetrack, it’s a place filled with memories and good times with his family. And with the upcoming Braves-Reds game, he’s simply buzzing with excitement to witness what can only be described as a sports fan’s dream come true!

Being a lifelong Braves fan, Elliott feels a deep connection to the team and the sport of baseball. He said, “Bristol’s always been a special place for me, for that reason is the racing side obviously. But just to be a Braves fan, that’s all I am. I love baseball, I love watching it” The veteran driver has followed the Braves closely over the years and has even built friendships with players like Chipper Jones, which only adds to his enthusiasm.

To him, the idea of turning Bristol into a baseball field is a fascinating challenge and he has admitted that he’s not a baseball player, but he’s genuinely curious about how everything will come together. He’s even suggested that he would sacrifice time from his schedule in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series to watch the game, so he’s having a serious fanboy moment right now!

Alongside him, the Braves legend Chipper Jones shared that same sense of wonder and marvel at the prospect of a baseball diamond on a NASCAR track. However, as every sportsman would, he did raise some important questions about how the field would be laid out alongside the race tracks and what the playing surface would be like for his team to perform. “All these things went into my mind because I want to be able to give these guys a good of a show as I can,” he said during a press meet.

The answer is pretty simple, this was the track where the Hendrick Motorsports driver made a name for himself! It’s known for its steep banking and short track layout, but compared to most drivers, Elliott has showcased his talent and determination here and has achieved a significant milestone of winning the NASCAR All-Star Race back in the year 2020.

It also has a touch of his family’s legacy to it, as he’s grown up in a racing family and the significance of this venue runs deep with his father, Bill Elliott. Chase often reminisces about the memories he made at Bristol, where he has raced alongside his father and built a connection to the sport that goes beyond competition for him.
