Recently, former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick hosted an interesting guest on her Pretty Intense podcast. As it happened, she had retired NASA scientist Jill Tarter on the other end of the microphone. Over here, Patrick decided to don a conspiracy hat and as the age old question of life outside Earth. Considering that there was a massive race to space, such questions were expected.

However, Tarter insisted that her beliefs did not matter, as only science did. She said, “It matters what I can prove. If I told you I knew the answer, that would be religion, not science. What I can find through scientific exploration, does matter”.

This prompted Patrick to ask what answers she wanted to find. In response, Tarter admitted that she would love to know more about biology and technology. Hearing that, Danica Patrick said that it was very unlikely, and the former NASA scientist agreed.

What else did she tell Danica Patrick in the podcast?

According to Tarter, NASA’s tools and technology are constantly improving. This ranges from bigger telescopes to building spacecraft for the purpose of exploration. She even said that there were a few space rovers on the surface of the planet Mars. Those rovers have the task of picking up rock samples to be analyzed later.

The scientist was able to reveal that once upon a time, Mars could have supported life. This was because the surface of the red planet was warm, wet, and salty. Suffice to say, this was a very fascinating conversation, and Patrick was quite riveted. The former Stewart-Haas Racing driver often hosts a number of people on her podcast and discusses a variety of subjects.
