Hailie Deegan’s future has been a question mark all the way since mid-season this year. She had one opportunity to race in the Xfinity Series recently where she defied all expectations and put her car in the top 15 in the race. However, ever since, news has been bleak about where will she be headed next season. Speculations had earlier suggested that she would be able to find a seat with any of the Ford team, however, even that looks like a difficult thing now.

There were reports early on that Deegan could possibly run for SHR in the Xfinity Series. However, as the SHR line was completed, that window of opportunity quickly gave way for Deegan. Moreover, after Tony Stewart was able to win the driver argument over his team’s co-owner Gene Haas, now Ryan Preece will see himself racing in the Cup Series in Cole Custer’s seat. Custer, on the other hand, will move back to the Xfinity Series. That being said, there might be next to no chance that SHR might open a third charter to accommodate Hailie Deegan at the moment.

Fans speculate Hailie Deegan’s future

Fans leaped into a conversation where they discussed potential spots for Deegan to move into for her future, however since chances to get into a Ford-powered Xfinity team look weak at the moment, some even suggested that she should be given a chance as a top-tier playoff-capable Truck Series team with proper support.
