NASCAR Hall of Famer and Sports analyst Dale Jarrett pulls no punches when it comes to sharing his insights on drivers or his prognostication for upcoming NASCAR races. With the current racing scene heating up like a boiling kettle, Jarrett couldn’t resist forecasting the thrills and spills awaiting fans at the forthcoming Pocono race.

Furthermore, he laid out his musings on the performances of different contenders, such as Bubba Wallace, Chase Elliott, and Ryan Blaney, speculating on who might emerge as the cream of the crop on the race track.

Who has the odds of winning or doing better at Pocono?

When it comes to Pocono, no other track holds a candle. Its three corners are as distinct as night and day, and two of its three straightaways stretch out like endless highways.

Currently leading the points race, William Byron is charging towards Pocono, hungry for another victory to solidify his spot among the final four. Meanwhile, reigning champion Chase Elliott, who dominated last year’s Pocono race with a streak of five top-10 and multiple first- or second-place finishes, may not have what it takes to defend his title, according to the legendary NASCAR Cup Champion, Dale Jarrett.

In fact, Jarrett seems to place his bets on Bubba Wallace, the skilled driver from 23XI Racing. But why does he think so? Here’s his take: “Bubba ran well, and I think the package they have under the hood of their race car, the aerodynamic side of it, I think that opens up for Bubba’s possibility, looking at this opportunity.”

It seems Jarrett has more faith in Toyota’s prowess than in the driver himself. “If I would give a slight advantage at this point, it has to be to the Toyota side; they just seem to have all the boxes checked. What their cars do for their drivers, I think that’s the direction the game is pointed at.”

Further, Jarrett also mentioned that Ryan and Logano have shown promise on the track, making them potential contenders in the race. Given Chase Elliott‘s struggles this year to crack the top-10 in the NASCAR playoff leaderboard, it’s clear that the Hendrick Motorsports driver will need to go above and beyond to defend his title.

As the regular season nears its end, the outlook lacks clarity for the 23XI Racing driver concerning his first-ever playoff berth in his Cup career. Despite Denny Hamlin’s initial admiration for his driver’s past success last season, it appeared the boss isn’t pleased with Wallace’s recent performances. While he noted that the team has been doing reasonably well, he expected them to reach greater heights.

Hamlin stated, “They’re running ok; certainly, would like to see a little more performance, a little more execution on the team’s part. The team has its fair share of growing that they need to do. The drivers, as long as they do their part, then it’s up to us to make sure the team executes. They let him down in some spots, for sure. We all have to get better.”

Although Wallace currently sits in 15th place in the standings, NASCAR fans are hopeful that he will bounce back stronger and prove Dale Jarrett’s predictions right.
