This weekend at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, Denny Hamlin comes into the race decked out in new colors. As it turns out, the #11 driver has managed to rope in soft drink giant Coca-Cola as his sponsor. This means that his car will be dressed in the red and white colors of Coca-Cola.

So glad you gave props to the designer @BLACKBEARDltd 🤜🤛

It is also worth mentioning that designer BLACKBEARD Ltd was the one behind the design. Overall, the car does look pretty spectacular, and many fans seem to agree. They were also glad that the original designer of the livery was given due credit.
Some people thought that the car looked ‘bada**’. Even Denny Hamlin himself seemed like he could not wait to hop into the car and give it a spin.
What else did the fans say about the car that Denny Hamlin will race in?
Overall, the fans loved the new paint scheme and felt that the car looked good in red and white. Additionally, the #11 number was given a chrome facelift, which did look pretty striking. Without a doubt, Denny Hamlin, Joe Gibbs Racing, and many fans cannot wait to see the car hit the track at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

(Not So) Fun Fact:
A #NASCAR Cup car with @CocaColaRacing as its primary sponsor (on the hood) hasn't won a Cup points race since Bobby Allison in the 1975 Southern 500. https://t.co/ZCydSnGpFF

Of course, there is a bit of bad news, because it seems that the Coca-Cola livery has not seen Victory Lane in a long time. In fact, the last time was all the way back in 1975, at the hands of Bobby Allison at the Darlington Raceway. At that time, he was racing in the Southern 500 for Penske Racing in the #16 AMC car.

That win was special because he managed to best Richard Petty to Victory. Both drivers were hobbled because Petty was unwell and Allison was driving with a broken suspension. So, this was a battle of attrition, and the AMC driver prevailed. Now, Denny Hamlin will be hoping to bring Coca-Cola another Cup Series victory in the coming weekend.
