Kevin Harvick has certainly not made many friends in the span of his long career. Now, he can cross Chase Elliott off his Christmas Card list. The Hendrick Motorsports driver mockingly wished Harvick a ‘Merry off-season and a Happy Christmas’. This is a massive reference to the fact that the Stewart-Haas driver has been eliminated from the Playoffs.
Apparently, the Texas Motor Speedway authorities decided to get in on the action. Even though Christmas is still two months away, they erected a Christmas tree decked out with flyers of Elliott and Harvick. The officials clearly took the #9 driver’s comments to heart and wanted to have some fun at Harvick’s expense.

Truthfully speaking, Elliott can only be smug because he is still in the Playoff running. The same cannot be said for poor old Kevin Harvick, as he was eliminated in the Round of 12 at the Charlotte Roval. Now, the defending champion heads into this Texas race, hoping to enter the Final 4 and grab a second consecutive Cup title.

Chase Elliott vs Kevin Harvick in 2021
Their feud began earlier this year at the Bristol Motor Speedway during the Playoff race. The two of them got too close to each other for comfort and banged wheels a few times. Elliott came off as the loser on that occasion and ended his race in 25th place, while Harvick ended up reaping rich rewards in 2nd.
In the immediate aftermath of the race, there was a massive confrontation between them in the pit lane. Later on, things were fairly quiet between the two drivers, but little did anyone know that this was the calm before the storm. After a civil Las Vegas and Talladega, the green rage monster surfaced once again at the Charlotte Roval. This time, Elliott got his revenge, and it came at a critical time for Kevin Harvick.
