Following the playoff round at Bristol, where Ryan Blaney lost a tire right after his pit stop, officials called for a 4 race penalty to be handed to his crew Chief and two members of the crew. However, as per the latest reports stated by Bob Pockrass, it looks like the Penske driver will continue to run the full team for this weekend’s race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Pockrass stated, “Team Penske has appealed the four-race suspensions and those suspensions have been deferred. So Ryan Blaney will have a full team this weekend.“
The penalty would seem, to Blaney’s crew chief, Jonathan Hassler, and two other members of the pit crew, unable to be with the #12 car for the next four races. However, with an appeal in place, this gives Team Penske a free ticket to run the full crew at Texas Motor Speedway.
NASCAR fans react to news of Team Penske’s 4 race suspension being postponed
Fans of the sport did not seem to have taken the news well and called out both NASCAR and Penske’s decision to deferral the penalty.
Fans argued that this decision would imply blatant misuse of rules and regulations set in place by the Officials themselves. They stated that winning and appealing to something such as a tire bouncing around pit road was not something they could ever win and also mentioned that it would be in the best interest of the team had they just taken the penalty fair and square.
Waiting until Friday to file the appeal seems so absurdly sneaky smart

How can that even be appealed? The tire actually almost hit one of Austin Dillon’s crew members.

In my opinion they should have probably taken the penalty. There probably going to lose (pretty much everyone has lost an appeal this year) so why prolong it deep into the RO8?

imagine they make it to the final 4 and Blaney doesn’t have Hassler and his normal crew…

👀So Penske’s hoping the appeal board will be ok with a tire bouncing down pit lane coming precariously close to hitting people?

Am I the only one who feels like it's stupid to give them the full team? It literally allows teams to manipulate the rules by appealing
