Why are team owners concerned about the new deal?

There is no doubt that NBC Sports and Fox Sports have played a significant role in broadcasting the sport in recent years. However, this means that the fans might have to subscribe to an additional platform in order to access all NASCAR races.

And this is troubling many team owners. Mainly because the additional platform might have an impact on sponsorship deals, as sponsors typically seek exposure to the widest audience possible. But with a deal like this, only people willing to subscribe will have access to the content.

However, looking at the bright side, some executives have pointed out that if a streaming service like Amazon is willing to make significant financial investments like Fox and NBC, it might turn out to be a great opportunity to offset any potential loss of sponsorship revenue.
