Trash-talking is arguably an essential part of sports, and NASCAR is no exception. Drivers often engage in light-hearted banter to intimidate their rivals and get them off their game. However, according to Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace, there’s more to trash-talking than just talking about racing.

In a recent video posted by FOX: NASCAR, Blaney, and Wallace discussed their non-racing trash-talking skills. Blaney said, “Bubba talks a lotta trash, but that’s…. we don’t even talk about racing trash, we just talk about like our golf game trash.”

Wallace himself claimed that he had a bit more experience when it came to trash-talking outside of racing. “If it’s about racing? I’mma go with… Denny… but you know, in life… I’m gonna go with myself.”

“That stems over from Golf, playin’ video games, a little bit of racing, I kinda have a little bit more credentials on my resume that’s kinda sh*t talk but uh… yeah Denny and myself,” he said.

Wallace’s confidence in his trash-talking skills stems from his experience playing golf with Michael Jordan, his boss at 23XI Racing. During a podcast with Corey LaJoie, Wallace revealed that Jordan had once told him, “Hey man, I heard that you suck at golf.”

Wallace was left stunned by Jordan’s comment and hasn’t played golf with him since then. However, he’s confident that he’ll hold his own once he does.
