Brad Keselowski is a lot more than just a leader. He has keen eyes that see the bigger picture in the arena of stock car racing. Looking back at 2022, RFK Racing suffered from a non-playoff-bound season as both Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher failed to make it to the playoffs. However, the tables have turned this year as both RFK cars are in the playoff contention.
It is true that every driver, including Keselowski, wants to win. But it is safe to say that the #6 Ford sensation has earned more praise as a Cup team owner than as a driver. Having said that, he owns up to the sacrifices that he has made for his team to be where they are now and admits having no regrets.

Despite having 35 Cup Series victories, Brad Keselowski is yet to get a win this year. He shoulders a 90-race-long winless streak as of now. Since the beginning of this season, he has just thirteen top 10 finishes, seven of which are top 5s. His best finishes were at Atlanta earlier this year where?he finished second. That elusive win just does not seem to fall into his hands.
However, his star driver Chris Buescher already has 3 wins this year at Michigan, Richmond, and Daytona. And times have been there when he had to face the duality of responsibilities as an owner and a driver. As an owner, he is very successful, but as a driver, the current season has not been excellent for him. But Brad Keselowski does what he does, thinking about the grand scheme of things.
In an interview, Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports asked Keselowski, “Most drivers, with your winless streak, we’d be asking you every week like you weren’t successful, but we’re asking you every week about how successful you are. Is that weird at all, that dynamic?”
Keselowski admitted to having reinvented himself as an owner over the last two years. He said, “It’s a painful process of taking a step back knowingly, just to think you can take a step forward in the long term. So short-term pain with long-term gain.”
“And I think the people that understand the sport respect that,” he added.
Moving on to Bristol, Brad Keselowski revealed why he was so excited about two races- the Food City 200 and the Bass Pro Shops Night Race.

Besides hosting concrete races, Bristol Motor Speedway has been housing dirt races since 2021. For the first time in 70 years, NASCAR transformed Bristol Motor Speedway into a half-mile dirt track and ran its Cup Series on it. However, some feel like dirt racing has overstayed its welcome.
After all, it is a high-banked concrete Speedway. It demands exhilarating action that is often lacking in dirt races. And while talking to Bob Pockrass, Brad Keselowski made his feelings about the future of Bristol clear.

Keselowski said, “Yeah I think a lot of intrigue over what?s going to happen with Bristol with the spring and the fall race, things going on at the fairgrounds, North Wilkesboro, but if we end up with two races on the concrete at Bristol, I don?t think you?ll hear many complaints.”

Although winless as of today, Brad Keselowski has qualified 6th at Bristol. Throwback to last fall, Brad Keselowski had a solid average finish with a lead of 109 laps and a stage win. Seeing his track record at Bristol, it is not unnatural to assume that Brad Keselowski might put up tough competition with the other drivers. If not a win, we can definitely expect him to finish within the top 5 and take home some valuable stage points.
