The contract troubles have been looming over Kyle Busch for a pretty long time now. And all the problems seem to be coming from M&M’s decision to withdraw their sponsorship from the sport. Both Joe Gibbs racing and Toyota have been working hard to find a replacement sponsor for Busch. But to date, nothing has been figured out for the two-time champion.
During an interview, Busch stated, “I feel as though I’ve said, and I’ll continue to say, my first goal is to stay at Joe Gibbs Racing. But if the musical chairs music stops, and I’m still standing and I don’t have a seat, I’m screwed.”
While Busch still seems to be optimistic, time is quickly running out of his hands.

There have been rumors that teams such as Stewart-Haas Racing and Kaulig Racing might offer Busch a contract. Steward-Haas Racing might have the option to bring him in, as one of their 4 drivers, Aric Almirola, is retiring at the end of the 2022 season.
On the other hand, Matt Kaulig’s Kaulig Racing could have a chance if they decide to make the bold move of picking up Busch. But given the fact that Kaulig Racing is a fairly new team in the Cup scene, they might not have the financial capability to hire someone as big as Busch.
