NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace blamed himself after the race at Michigan, despite coming home in second place. During a chat with Mamba Smith, Kyle Petty spoke about Bubba, reflecting on the fact that Bubba puts a lot of pressure on himself.
Petty also had some advice for the 28-year-old 23XI driver.

While talking on the ‘backseat drivers’ segment, Petty said, “I do think he puts too much pressure on himself and I think he needs to shift that.”
“He always looks at the negatives. Stop looking at that, stop doing that”
“Because you are such an asset to the team and such an asset to the sport look at the positives, look at what you do for that team and that sport.”
He goes on to say, “Listen, I’m a Bubba fan, from when he drove for my dad and talking to him and being around him. But I don’t want him to carry, you know it’s that Earnhardt way.”
“Earnhardt carried that legacy. Bubba’s creating a legacy, forget that, just go make your legacy.

“Don’t feel like you have to drag one along behind you and I think sometimes he gets caught up in that. Just drive the racecar man, because you are a good racecar driver, you’re gonna win races.”
If Wallace, listens to the advice from Kyle Petty, it would surely ease off the pressure he’s put on himself and he’ll have more room to just focus on what he does best.
That way, he could slowly and steadily start winning more and more races and give a response to his critics.
