The NASCAR Cup Series Pennzoil 400 is just around the corner, set to kick off this Sunday. But before the big guns hit the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, it seems we have a new driver in town: Katt Williams. That’s right, the comedian himself was recently spotted getting his race on in a simulator, cracking jokes, and having a blast while he zipped around the virtual track. His simulator antics caught the eye of not just players like Rajah Caruth and the folks over at RFK Racing, but Denny Hamlin and his crew were also tuning in.

Katt Williams got some major props from NASCAR’s very own bad boy, Denny Hamlin

While hanging out with Joe Rogan, the UFC commentator, podcast king, comedian, and ex-TV host, Katt Williams decided to give a racing simulator a whirl. As he whipped around the virtual track, he couldn’t help but crack jokes, saying things like, “There needs to be a professional to tell you that this is how this job is done. Yeah, and how do we do it like this cuz we do this in real life? In real life, it’s all about finding the roads, the highways, and the byways of America that will allow you to do this.”

As the video rolled on, Katt Williams boasted, “Once he get that number one, you can forget about it; you’re never getting it back why because you’re waiting on a mistake, and he makes his mistakes early. So, if you’re waiting on him late, too bad for you, baby. We do this with either hand, one hand, two hands, left hand, right hand, and he’s still hugging that corner. He’s almost robotic. It’s as if AI had a car.”

Katt’s bold moves and fearless chatter didn’t go unnoticed. Denny Hamlin couldn’t help but tip his hat to the comedian’s driving flair. The JGR driver gave a shoutout to the Emmy Award-winning comedian’s rip-roaring simulator session on his Twitter handle, saying, Only guy on the planet more confident behind the wheel than me. Denny Hamlin’s driver, Bubba Wallace, also couldn’t resist chiming in with a laugh, posting, “Not the full leg extension 💀💀💀 He wheelin that thing tho.”

RFK Racing threw in their two cents, teasing, “New @RFKStage60 candidate unlocked,” while Rajah Charuth threw down a playful challenge, Let’s race next time, @KattWilliams.And guess who draws some inspiration from the comedian himself? None other than NASCAR’s beloved Denny Hamlin. Don’t believe us? Remember that famous quote by Denny Hamlin: “A hater can’t stand a winner, after his Bristol Motor Speedway win last year?

Just like Denny Hamlin sometimes lets his mouth run ahead of him, Katt Williams found himself in a similar boat recently, stirring up a bit of a storm with his words.

Joe Rogan couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow when Katt Williams, on his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ episode #2111, claimed he’s been a voracious reader, chowing down on over 3000 books in his lifetime. Diving into brainy topics, Williams took a trip down memory lane with Rogan, revealing his bookworm childhood.

Williams painted a picture of a youth without birthdays, holiday celebrations, or trick-or-treating. No movies, no TV, just books. “So, if I told you that from the time when I was eight to the time when I was 12, I never celebrated any birthdays, I never went to any birthday parties, I never had a Thanksgiving or Christmas, I never trick-or-treated. I wasn’t allowed to watch movies and TV. All I did was read,”  he said.

He even claimed he would haul 20 books at a time from the library to devour. Rogan, totally taken aback, tried to make sense of it, asking, “So, like, 60 books a week?” Williams coolly replied, “Minimum,” adding that this reading frenzy was all before the internet era.
