A pioneer woman in motorsport, Danica Patrick has long established herself as an icon in the world of open-top car racing. The 41-year-old made history in the 2008 Indy Japan 300 when she became the first woman to win a race in an IndyCar Series. She is currently making her mark as an entrepreneur, with all of her several business ventures turning into success.

After making history in Japan, Danica finished that year with an impressive sixth place in the driver’s standings. She followed it up the next season with an even better result, finishing on the table in fifth. After retiring from motorsport though, she has donned a different hat.

After retiring from motorsport, Danica Patrick shifted her focus to her business endeavors. And it’s safe to say that she has become a successful businesswoman. According to her official website, she has three businesses up and running at the moment, all of which are doing quite well.

She owns a brand of women’s athleisure wear called Warrior, a fragrance brand called Voyant, and a wine brand called Somnium. Recently, in a series of stories on Instagram, Patrick took to advertising her beverage brand. And it was creative, to say the least.

“I promise at 2 today I was heading to work,” she wrote as she posted a picture of herself with two bottles of her Somnium wine and a glass. “But WiFi went out and I had to wait,” the caption on another picture read.

“And finally at 5ish…It was game on for a podcast,” she wrote, this time with just a picture of three wine bottles, one white and two red.

“S**t. Is it all gone? Cab franc strikes again,” she added while posing with an empty wineglass.

“All this wine…and no one to drink it with on a Friday night,” she concluded with a picture of an empty glass of wine and five bottles of Somnium on the table.

It all might seem a bit funny, but it’s actually a brilliant way of marketing your product on Instagram which predominantly has a younger audience. And really, there is no one that can question her business methods, as all three have been quite successful so far.

Recently, however, Patrick attended an event that was at the center of a bit of controversy. The Burning Man festival is one of the most popular in the country. It sees thousands of fans flock to its venue in Nevada every year. But there was some unexpected trouble this year and things got quite serious.

The event proceeded as scheduled, but what the organizers did not see coming was the weather. An unexpected storm brewed in the desert. Rain followed and smeared the entire event, which turned quite messy. As per reports, over 70,000 people were stuck as a result.

Before everything went south, people were actually having a good time at the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. Patrick herself was one of the people who was exploring the festival and flexing her outfits, which she shared on her Instagram handle.
