He said, “The thought that I had here was, ‘Okay look, he’s faster than me, he can get by me and get position on me. I just need to let him go to see if he can go up there and run Reddick down because I’m not fast enough right now, to be able to run Reddick down. So let him get gone and go see if he can challenge for the win and see if he can bring my race back to me’. Spoiler alert, I was right.”

On the final restart, Busch was on the front row alongside Tyler Reddick. Although he was slower away, Busch noted that he was quicker on the long runs. However, he observed that the top line that he was running on, was not the preferred line. Unfortunately, it took him a while to figure it out, because he wasn’t a dirt expert.

This is because there have been multiple race winners this year. The trend has also been continuing past the first two Playoff races.

Now, Busch will be hoping that lightning strikes twice at the Bristol Motor Speedway. At the same time, he will be praying that there is no new race winner. Otherwise, that will really inconvenience many of them.
