Kenny Wallace is known for being a vocal personality and for sharing his opinions on community issues. NASCAR fans, especially those from the old school sect, have often turned to Kenny to voice their concerns, and he has responded to them on multiple occasions. In a recent Twitter post, Kenny acknowledges the growing feelings of loneliness and depression among people.

Explaining the buildup to his being awake early due to a minor disturbance by his wife, Kim, through her phone, he explained, “It’s 9/11. A lot of people get depressed and bummed out. So, I had this on my mind, I have a handful of older gentlemen who text me all the time and they start texting me, then they text me again. On the fifth text, I just pick up the phone and call them. Lot of wounded people out there including me, the first thing that I would say to everybody is that we are all the same. Everybody has to deal with their demons the best way they can.”

“Number 1 I got $19,000 in this hair. So I would be bald all through here.” continued Kenny. He tried to console the fans about the tougher phases of life and conveyed a message that it is okay to fail at some things sometimes.

“I went to Barnsley two times. I told Schrader I spent 19 grand on this hair. Schrader goes, ‘And that’s all you got?’. So anyway, there I criticized myself.”

He further added, “When I’d go watch my kids play ball like in the little gyms, I can’t sit on my a**. I’m super white, I got freckles all over me, and I’m constantly at the dermatologist. I never won a Cup race, that devastated me. I’m not the greatest dirt racer of all time. I’ve got 11 second-place finishes. Every once in a while it just feels like you’re playing tennis, you just keep hitting these balls back. For everybody, it’s bummed out and depressed out there. you’re not sitting on an island by yourself. So cheer your a** up.”

Kenny’s words have a sense of firmness to them as he tries to clear the air for people who listen to him. Being a NASCAR driver, he understands quite a bit about the feeling of individualism and how bad it can get. To make his fans feel better about themselves, he then goes on to mock himself for some of his failures in life.
