For the past couple of races, former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick has been manning the commentary booth. Needless to say, she seems to be doing a decent job. However, it appears that she still has a fair number of critics who don’t like her. Despite that, she has found support in the form of ex-NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace.

Wallace said, “Some of you people… Danica Patrick just kills some of you all. I was in the news, accidentally. Just tweeted something nice about Danica Patrick, and they got a hold of it. It was an honor, they liked what I said, they talked about it. Some of you just despise her. To each his own, but some of you are out of hand. My God! She don’t even know you! I always just talked nice about people. I think if you’re going to take time out to bash somebody you don’t even know. They don’t even know you. It means you don’t know them. So you’re judging from afar, you’re judging based on what you see on TV.”

How did Danica Patrick react to Wallace’s defense?
Obviously, Patrick was thrilled at the praise. Her reaction aside, the 39-year-old has definitely proven herself as a capable commentator. The ex-IndyCar and NASCAR driver is part of a rotating set of commentators and analysts in the Fox Sports booth. Her inclusion was a boon because she has actually been really insightful into both the driving as well as the mental aspects of the races.

Being an ex-racer herself, her knowledge of the sport was there for all to see and proves that she can be an excellent pundit. Of course, NASCAR fans have already seen that like in the case of Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart, drivers who were successful in the field can also be great commentators.
