This season, Kyle Larson and the Hendrick Motorsports team have been in fine form. After taking a second consecutive win at the Sonoma Raceway, Larson is definitely a favorite. The win propelled him to 2nd in the championship behind Denny Hamlin, who is barely hanging on. Speaking to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Larson spoke of a number of subjects.
He acknowledged that the team has been performing exceptionally well. According to him, they have avoided making any major or costly mistakes. However, he confessed that he did not know whether that was because of their form or if the cars were just that good. Instead, he and his teammates are simply focusing harder and trying to limit their mistakes.

Kyle Larson said, “It’s been fun, I’ve been able to win a couple of sprint car and Outlaw races last couple of weeks. This is always a fun time of year for me because the summer months have a lot of mid-week races. If you can get into a bit of a rhythm and build some momentum like I have. You definitely build your confidence quickly. Its not easy to stay up top or on top of your game. Confidence is so important in our sport.”

What lies ahead for Kyle Larson in 2021?
As mentioned before, the Asian-American driver rocketed to 2nd in the championship. Now, he will be looking forward to the NASCAR All-Star Race at the Texas Motor Speedway. The entire Hendrick Motorsports team has already qualified for the race. However, there are some interesting contenders for the All-Star Open.
Drivers like Bubba Wallace, Erik Jones, Matt DiBenedetto and more, will definitely battle fiercely for qualification. Of course, the All-Star race does not offer any points as it is merely an exhibition race. Nevertheless, drivers will definitely want to take bragging rights at the Texas Motor Speedway.
