In 2021, Hailie Deegan will make her NASCAR Truck Series debut. She already has one race under her belt, where she scored an impressive 16th place.

Recently, she spoke to MRN Crew Call about her impending full-time debut. Needless to say, Deegan is extremely excited for her it.

She confessed, “It’s so exciting! There’s a lot of people who think that, ‘Oh! She moved up too soon, they’re rushing her, her sponsors are rushing her’.

“My sponsors aren’t rushing anything. My decisions on what I want to do with my career are my decisions and it’s what I want to do with it.”

In other words, while she calls the shots, her sponsors follow her decisions. Hailie Deegan revealed that they had two options, namely running in the ARCA Series for two years or one year in ARCA.

All this was based on what she witnessed this season. She acknowledged that she and the team have done a good job of improving and developing.

The 19-year-old revealed that once she took part in the Truck race, she knew that it was her calling. This is why she is glad that she participated in the Truck race last year. Deegan did acknowledge that the coming season will be tough and she may not ‘set the world on fire’.

However, she did insist that she has to focus on development. Hailie Deegan also opened up on her path up the ranks and finally into the big leagues with the Camping World Truck Series. She confessed that four years ago, she was unsure about what she wanted to pursue.

This was largely because she did not have much knowledge of stock car racing. However, she knew that she had to keep an open mind about absorbing all the information.

It was only in 2019 that Hailie Deegan finally had a good idea about how her career trajectory would pan out.
