At the Bristol Motor Speedway, Kyle Larson triumphed, amid a lot of drama around him. In the immediate aftermath of the race, the #5 Hendrick Motorsports driver spoke about how things unfolded for him. He confessed that winning at Bristol is hugely important for him and the race was “awesome.”
He said, “It was so cool to be able to race for the win. Obviously, Harvick and Chase got together and Chase was upset and kind of held him up. It got Harvick having to move around, and use his tires up off the bottom. Started to get some diamonds, working off 1 and 2, and just got a big run. Decided to pull the trigger alongside him and squeeze him a little bit.
“It was wild, had my hands full.”

Kyle Larson is well on his way to the next Playoff round
Last time out at Richmond, Larson qualified for the next Playoff round with his fifth place finish. However, this win at the Bristol Motor Speedway has more than secured it. He will also be glad to learn that all of his teammates have made it to the next round. However, their qualification came at the behest of Aric Almirola, Tyler Reddick, Kurt Busch, and Michael McDowell.

What this also means is that the competition will grow tighter in the next three rounds. In the coming race weekend, the paddock heads to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to kick off the second round of the Playoffs. Over there, the Hendrick Motorsports vs Joe Gibbs Racing vs Team Penske vs Stewart-Haas Racing battle will be closer.

With the absence of Almirola, SHR are bit hobbled, with just Harvick left to fly the flag. Meanwhile, Hendrick Motorsports have been in exceptional form, with Kyle Larson as one of the favorites to win. However, he will have to be wary of other drivers, like Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, and many more.
