Amidst his underwhelming performance in Richard Childress Racing, Kyle Busch selling his Truck Series team felt like a bomb for ardent KB fans. Spire Motorsports, who in recent years have been on a spree, buying charters added Busch’s team to their list, acquiring the 2-time winning NASCAR Truck Series team for a whopping sum. And there was more still to come.

In addition to the team, Busch also sold his Rowdy manufacturing to Spire Motorsports which looks to expand its operations, spreading its wings to be a 3-car team in NASCAR’s third-ranking division. However, Busch’s sudden sale of the team that won him 7 owner’s championships doesn’t sit well with the fans. To make matters worse, Spire Motorsports recent tweet added fuel to the fire as fans dub the “X” post mean and disrespectful, brutally slamming the Chevy-associated team for its apparent ill-manners.

Mere days after acquiring a charter for a whopping price of around $40 million dollars, Spire Motorsports upped the ante by acquiring KBM and its associated manufacturing plant as part of its ambitious expansion plans. The “Rowdy” issued a detailed statement that officially confirmed the sale of his 13-year-old team that had 100 wins with 18 different drivers in the Truck Series.

While Kyle Busch extended his appreciation, he also revealed that it was time for different ideas. He said, “I’m at a different point in my life now than I was back in 2010. My family has grown, my Cup Series team changed this year and our son’s racing schedule has become as demanding as my own.

“It’ll be hard to walk away from the amazing facility that we’ve built. I’ll miss walking the shop floor talking with our employees, hosting our fan days in the lobby and spending countless hours there ensuring its success. However, I know at this point in my life and in my career that this is the correct decision,” added Busch relaying his honest emotion as he handed over his beloved team to his former associate, Jeff Dickerson.

However, after their acquisition, Dickerson and Co. has now sparked a new debate with the team’s social media post. Taking over the race shop, Spire Motorsports proudly posted their employee designing the race shop’s lobby. In the process, they ripped off Busch’s decals that were stuck on the shop’s walls without second thoughts.

Now that’s not something out of the ordinary but posting such a thing on a social platform for the world to see is outright rude and mean much like the fans have denounced it.

Consequently, Spire Motorsports’ apparent disrespect did not sit well with the community. Upon seeing the rudeness, fans quickly jumped the scene calling out the team for its actions as they bombarded the post with harsh comments like, “Can’t wait for an exciting year of 32nd place finishes.”

Fans did not mince their words, expressing their displeasure, commenting, “This isn’t the content you need to be posting. Disgusting” while others trolled the team with apt comments, “Could you guys be anymore unlikeable?”

Whereas some fans relayed the outright obvious, writing, “Showing the tear down of old team stuff is kinda off putting. Almost mean.”
