The dry run continues for Stewart-Haas Racing as the drivers struggle to find traction on the tracks of New Hampshire. With its deep corners and long straightaways, the Miracle Mile has always been a coveted track for drivers, often reminding them of St. Louis. Regardless, it is Ryan Preece who is looking to be struggling the most as he fights to churn out a favorable result on his home track.

The race at Crayon 301 was delayed for a day as the rain tried to mar the expectations of NASCAR enthusiasts. However, the driver who looked forward to racing on the low-banked track of Miracle Mile was Ryan Preece. It was just a few days ago when the Stewart-Haas Racing driver expressed to the media that he looked forward to racing on his home track in New Hampshire.

Preece, who is yet to make the cut for the playoffs, revealed his stronghold on the tracks of New Hampshire, as he has grown up racing on the track. He had revealed to Skewcar,

You know it’s so funny that you say that because that’s like a rare thing right? I mean we usually go to a lot of these tracks where Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and a lot of these other guys, they have so many laps, where a lot of us don’t. Where this is the track I have been going to since I was 7, even though it’s been modified but I am just so comfortable and a local track that I grew up racing at.”

He had also expressed that he would be trying to snatch a victory and enter the post-season, issuing a storing warning to Chase Elliott. However, it seems that Preece has already faced strong issues on his home track. In Lap 104, running P25, the driver was heard saying on the radio about his #14 Ford, ““****ing thing is bouncing … I literally feel like I’m riding a bull.”  He further drew out the parallels in the experiences between the practice and race day.

He also added on the radio, “It doesn’t feel anything like practice the other day.”
