As Chastain approaches the race weekend with unwavering confidence, the online community found itself caught up in a whirlwind, but it’s not solely about the upcoming race. Instead, fans have been passionately shipping him with global pop sensation Taylor Swift, all thanks to the cleverly orchestrated moves of the Trackhouse Instagram admin.

A recent video shared on the team’s handle shows the Florida native working on his #1 Worldwide Express Chevy, set to the backdrop of Taylor Swift’s hit song, Getaway Car.

The video is paired with Swift’s viral video clip of her reacting to NFL Hall of Famer Travis Kelce’s soccer excellence. The caption accompanying the video read, “We’re in our Talladega era.” With those words, the online frenzy erupted.

The clever combination of Chastain’s NASCAR world and Taylor Swift’s music had clearly struck a chord with fans.

The internet exploded with excitement and speculation as one fan humorously quipped, “Wait… so she’s moved on from Kelce to Chastain?!! Haha […]” The sudden shift in attention from Travis Kelce to Chastain in the eyes of Taylor Swift’s fans was clearly amusing to many. Others expressed their delight with comments like, “W trackhouse post, this is why ilysm, also W song choice too,” and “Trackhouse social stays undefeated.”

A fan playfully declared, “This post is my Roman Empire,” as the admin of the account received a shout-out with a simple “Yes admin.” One enthusiastic supporter wrote, “Go Ross Chastain… huge upgrade to TS!! Wahoo!!”  The comment section was filled with laughter and positive vibes, with one fan concluding, “Love this,” and another adding, “I like ‘Getaway Car’” in reference to the song choice.

While the online chatter remains abuzz, all eyes now shift to the Talladega Superspeedway to see what thrilling surprises it has in store. Ross Chastain’s recent performance at Texas was a beacon of hope in an otherwise tumultuous season.

His second-place finish, capitalizing on a late-race caution, has propelled him to a commendable sixth place in the standings, boasting a 12-point cushion above the playoff cutline. However, Chastain‘s journey this season has been far from smooth sailing.

The 30-year-old’s entry into the playoffs was secured with a solitary victory, and the regular season saw him struggle. Since his win in Nashville, he secured just one top 5 in 13 races. In contrast, the playoffs have been more favorable, yielding two top-5 finishes.
