Hailie Deegan has emerged as one of the most impressive female drivers in NASCAR this year and 2020 regular-season champion Kevin Harvick has a lot of praises for her. The 19-year-old made her debut in the Camping Truck Series in 2020, finishing 16th in the race at Kansas Speedway.
She has earned praise from many eminent personalities in the NASCAR community. On Kevin Harvick’s birthday today, it is a good time to recount and hear what he had to say about the young racer.
Speaking early last year, Harvick had said, “When I look at her whole family and the things that they do, pretty much revolves around something that has wheels and tires on it and engines.”

“So for me, that’s something that is not an everyday occurrence, because of the fact that everything that she’s been able to race.”

The Stewart-Haas No.4 continued, “I think up until this point it’s been in dirt right, so everything’s been in the dirt. So for me, I was impressed when we ran the Canyon West race. And just the fact that she wanted to learn and race and do all the things.”
Hailie has grown up racing on off-road and on-dirt tracks for most of her early years. Her debut in the Truck Series came about with DGR-Crosley, with whom she will now race full-time in the 2021 season.
“And to see the progression of it last year with obviously poles, race wins and things that don’t happen all the time. So that to me is something that was truly impressive and she’s doing a good job,” concluded Harvick.

The 2014 Cup champion, who turns 45 today, has built a stellar career for himself. As he heads into his 16th full season racing in the Cup Series, the zeal and excitement are there, just like always.
Harvick was on a song during the regular season, notching up seven wins and multiple top-ten finishes. However, he faced elimination in the race at Martinsville following a dismal showing in the Round of 8.
