During the interview, Bodine said, “They said Hailie got me. That doesn’t surprise me. Probably she felt like it was a little payback for Texas. She thinks I wrecked her at Texas. I didn’t.

He added, “I was running around the bottom. I don’t know if she runs into the back of me, side of me. I don’t know what happened. That’s racing. You’ll have that.”

On being asked if the cancellation of qualifying due to rain caused this issue, Todd said, “I don’t think that was the issue.”

“I think there’s a lot of inexperience, on Hailee’s part. She just doesn’t understand that there are certain situations you just have to back out of the throttle. Get out of the hole.”

“She didn’t do it in Texas. I don’t know what she did here. Like I said, if she run into the back of me or got into the side of me, either way, we got turned around.”

Deegan tapped the front bumper of Todd Bodine while going three wide into a corner. Todd instantly lost control of his vehicle and slammed onto the outside wall after spinning out.

This was not the first time they got in each other’s way, back in Texas, Hailie got squeezed against the wall by Bodine. Which left Deegan extremely agitated. In a way, the Pocono incident could have been payback.
