Kevin Harvick hung up his boots at the end of the 2023 Cup Series season and one of the biggest reasons was the desire to spend more time with his family. While Kevin’s wife DeLana and their children, Keelan and Piper, would love nothing more than to have him around more often, Happy Harvick, as it turns out, can be a bit of a nuisance. Keelan recently revealed one of the things that his father loves doing which annoys DeLana.
He might be one of the most serious and prolific racers of his generation, but that’s just one part of him. Kevin Harvick is arguably one of the biggest pranksters to have set foot in NASCAR. From smashing a frozen pie in Denny Hamlin’s face to pretending to smash up his own company VP’s phone, The Closer has always been a man with a wild sense of humor.

Kevin Harvick truly fears no one when it comes to pranking, even when it is his father-in-law. DeLana’s dad truly was one of the people who bore the brunt of the 2014 Cup Series champion’s pranks. It seems like those stories have reached Keelan Harvick’s ears.
Recently, the father and son duo was playing a game of “Who’s Most Likely To.” When the question, “Who is more likely to play a prank on mom?” was put up, Keelan wasted no time in lifting the paddle with his dad’s name. As his son had exposed him, Kevin went on to reveal, “I have no problem playing a prank on mom. She usually doesn’t like it.”
Looking at how serious and dedicated Kevin Harvick was as a racer and as a businessman, few people could have imagined him being a prankster.

During his final race in NASCAR, the #4 driver displayed another side of him that not many might have expected. The once ruthless racing driver’s emotional side poured out, and it was all thanks to Keelan and Piper Harvick.
Harvick was brought to tears in his career’s final race start at Phoenix thanks to his children. Both Keelan and Piper Harvick came onto the radio to wish their father luck for one final run. On a recent episode of The Dale Jr. Download podcast, the former #4 Ford driver revealed his emotions when it happened.

Kevin Harvick’s career as a racer might be over, but he might just be starting a new chapter in his life. His 11-year-old son has already made a name for himself in the junior divisions and not just because of who his father is. Kevin wants to be with his son and guide him on his journey to become a full-blown motorsports athlete.
“That’s a huge priority because I feel like some of the things that we have experienced over the last year and a half with Keelan would not have happened… with some of his driving characteristics and mindset. Some of the things that went on with his driving we had to deal with wouldn’t have happened if I was there,” Harvick said.
