What happens when the sky becomes a person and decides to text Denny Hamlin or Australian V8 Supercar sensation Shane Van Gisbergen to congratulate Denny Hamlin on his career’s 51st victory? Especially when the latter does not even know how to pronounce the former’s name. Just laughter and hilarious discussions after that; that’s what happens. We have one right here for you.

Denny Hamlin held off his golf buddy Kyle Larson and won the ultimate race of the round of 16 in the 2023 playoff rumble at Bristol Motor Speedway. On that note, NASCARCASM on Twitter imagined fake congratulatory messages from various entities. Needless to say, each of these texts is enough to make a grown man roll on the floor laughing out loud.

Shane Van Gisbergen’s name is quite problematic for some to pronounce. And NASCARCASM thought it would be no different for the 23XI Racing team owner.

The texts that they placed next to each other in the form of a conversation were funny for sure, but what made everyone cackle was Shane Van Gisbergen’s name in Denny Hamlin’s contact list.

“Shawn Von Gibblenips”

Yes, you read it right!

The fake persona of the Kiwi icon said, “Hey it’s Shane Van Gisbergen. Watched the race down here in New Zealand- congratulations!”

‘Gibblenips’ continued, “Can’t wait to race more with you in 2024”

In reality, Denny Hamlin might also be willing to race with the New Zealander. However, in a parallel universe, Denny Hamlin probably does not want to get his opponent’s name right.

Gibblenips‘ sounded quite concerned when he asked, “You HAVE figured how to pronounce my name, right?”

“Oh absolutely,” said the fake Denny Hamlin with bubbling confidence. Fans could not contain their laughter at this hilarious exchange. Among other conversations with Christopher Bell and the Sky itself, everyone found ‘Gibblenips’ to be the most innovative.

NASCAR decided to pause Saturday’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway shortly because of rain. And this happened at the beginning of Stage 2 and lasted for 15 whole minutes. That might have put Denny Hamlin and Joe Gibbs Racing worrying about the outcome of the race. Thanks to Sky, it decided to pause the rain.

The imaginary Denny Hamlin wrote to the Sky “You had us worried for a little bit there.”

Sky said, “I decided to go easy on you”

Denny Hamlin thanked Sky mentioning how big a race Bristol was for the number 11 Toyota team.

Sky said, “That place looks tiny from up here. If you’re so worried about rain, why don’t you just toss a Tupperware lid over it or something?”

As enthralling as it might sound if it happened in reality, fans doted on ‘Gibblenips’. But that was not all. A hater decided to throw something unusual at Denny Hamlin after he had won the first elimination race of the playoffs.

Someone joked, “At least there’s protection on it…”

While another admitted, “I didn’t even catch that at first glance😂😂😂”

Another enthusiast typed, “Someone actually thought “hey I’m going to Bristol race, let me grab this cucumber might need to throw at some driver”.”

However, a fan found this action outrageous and wrote, “This is silly. I get Denny may say things sometimes that people might get upset over but that many boos? It’s just like the mob mentality. Others joining in just to be part of it .. I honestly doubt that many people feel so negatively towards him”
