The two 23XI Racing drivers will adorn enemy colors in the final Cup Series race of the season on Sunday. Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace might not be in the championship race, but they will be eye-catchers when they’re out on track in their respective cars. 23XI Racing has always done a fantastic job when it comes to paint schemes, and this time, they have cooked up a treat for fans of a certain science fiction movie franchise.

Tyler Reddick was knocked out of championship contention last weekend, and Bubba Wallace made his exit in the round of 12. However, it has been a positive season for Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin’s team. There is a lot to look forward to in 2024. Both drivers will look to close out the year on a positive note and have a bit of fun along the way.

The 23XI Racing paint scheme for both cars this weekend is inspired by fictional events that took place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. NASCAR fans who are into Star Wars will perhaps be behind 23XI as they pay homage to one of the greatest science fiction movie franchises of all time.

It is well known that Bubba Wallace is a massive Star Wars fan. The 30-year-old will be driving in a car whose paint scheme is based around the Rebel Alliance’s X-wing Starfighter. The new #23 car was unveiled by none other than Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill.

However, his teammate seems to have gone the way of Anakin Skywalker and joined the dark side of the force. The #45 23XI Racing car’s paint scheme has been centered around the Empire’s TIE Fighter. As Tyler Reddick went over to the dark side of the force, Bubba Wallace’s insider sent out a stern warning for the 27-year-old.

X-wings and TIE Fighters symbolize the Rebels and the Empire. In the Star Wars universe, the two interplanetary organizations are mortal enemies. As far as Bubba Wallace’s spotter Freddie Kraft goes, the #23 should look to seek and destroy the #45 on Sunday in Phoenix. “Does this mean we’re supposed to seek and destroy the 45 this weekend? 👀” Kraft said.

If Bubba Wallace’s paint scheme made fans go crazy, they went absolutely ballistic when they saw what Tyler Reddick was going to drive. 23XI Racing has done wonders with paint schemes this season, and once again, they have come up with something incredible.

23XI Racing released a video on Twitter of Tyler Reddick’s #45 paint scheme inspired by the dark side of the force. The slick black body, paired with the red and white, looked exceptional. It is no surprise that fans cannot wait to see the cars on track.

“There has to be diecasts of these.  Where do I send my money?” one user asked.

“I hate that I don’t care for either of the drivers but damn I love these cars!!” wrote another.

Fans hailed 23XI Racing for consistently bringing the best-looking cars throughout the season. This season, the team has made a lot of improvements on track and they have done it with style.

“@23XIRacing keeps bringing the best paint schemes in @nascar,” one user wrote.

“I’m here for 23XI’s matching “theme schemes”. 🔥” commented another.

And of course, we were going to get that old Star Wars or Star Trek comparison. But even the Star Trek fans had to admit that Reddick and Bubba’s cars looked absolutely sick.
