What Bubba Wallace did or rather, how he drove in Kansas in the second playoff race of the season, can pretty much be defined through the word ‘domination’. The 23XI Racing driver collected the second win of his career and it came relatively easier and under rather simple circumstances.
Now, you’d think that his win was a product of his driving along with his spotter and his crew’s efforts and you’d be right.

However, there could be one more thing that might have helped Wallace’s win in Kansas as well as the one in Talladega last season. And that thing is related to Chase Elliott, or to be more precise, his sponsor, as spotter Brett Griffin disclosed after the recent race.
“I would like to bring it to everyone’s attention. Both of @FreddieKraft ’s Cup wins came after we drank cold beer the night before at @hooters . @BubbaWallace even ate from there last night,” he tweeted.
“Congrats Fellas!”

‘So what if you drive for 23XI Racing, Bubba Wallace?’
In a post-race interview, Denny Hamlin, the 23XI Racing co-owner, opened up on his hard-fought battle with Bubba Wallace in Kansas, which he ultimately lost. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver was asked whether he took it easy on the #45 driver, considering it was his own team.

As you’d come to expect from Hamlin, the answer was that of a fierce competitor, which he is.
“Nothing will ever come free when you’re driving for me. If you think I’m going to let you win, you better go get another job,” he said. The #11 driver emphasized on how delighted he feels with the outcome of the race as well as happy for Wallace and his crew chief, Bootie Barker.

“Bubba has really worked on his craft. We’ve given him fast race cars and now he’s shown them what he’s got,” he added.
