As the roaring engines and the thrill of the race filled the air at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan, NASCAR fans were treated to an intense showdown between two racing giants – Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch. Keselowski Racing has been consistently performing better, and their recent performances are making them a formidable competitor, even against top teams like Joe Gibbs Raceway, and SHR.

In an exclusive interview with Stephen Stumpf from Frontstretchs, Brad Keselowski shared his mixed emotions about the night’s race. His words, “Seconds a Little Bittersweet,” perfectly capture the essence of Keselowski’s sentiments as he strives to catch up to the dominant force that is Kyle Busch.

Keselowski, hailing from Michigan, felt right at home as he competed in the SRX Series race at Berlin. His strong run during the event, leading the most laps and winning the heat race, filled him with pride. However, amidst the laughs and cheers from his family and friends, there was a tinge of disappointment. He emphasized, “you know this is always great to be back in the state of Michigan you know where I’m from and I have family, and friends that come out to this race. I’ve certainly enjoyed it and you know run well we had a bunch of laughs and I led the most laps tonight and you know the heat race and all those things.”

He expressed his desire to win the features, hinting at the bittersweet feeling of coming in second. The main event witnessed a fierce battle between Keselowski and Busch. Kyle Busch, no stranger to Berlin Raceway, displayed his mastery of the track, pulling ahead during three restarts to secure his second consecutive Camping World SRX Series win.

He said, “So, winning that but I want to win the features the second’s a little Bittersweet but all in all just a really strong night and given how the first two SRX races went for me I really needed this.”

When asked, “Without good you know Kyle was going back-to-back what more did you need at the end?”

Keselowski concluded by saying, “What word I mean I just got really tight and I probably drove the car a little too hard early and especially when it’s bad on with the elbow.”

This victory marked the second time he outperformed his NASCAR rival, Brad Keselowski, in as many weeks. Last week at Pulaski County Motorsports Park, Busch spun Keselowski out of the lead to take the win, further intensifying the rivalry between the two.

Throughout the race, Keselowski faced challenges, leading to a tight car as the handling started to fade on his Ford. Despite his valiant efforts, he fell behind, feeling the pressure of pushing the car too hard, too early. However, the determined driver remains optimistic about his team’s progress.

Kyle Busch acknowledged the toughness of the Berlin Raceway, praising the skill required to navigate the track’s unique challenges. He recounted the moment when Helio Castroneves pushed Keselowski hard, causing the latter’s tires to slip. Busch then recognized his chance to pounce and secure another victory. Busch credited Keselowski for putting up a fierce fight despite the rivalry and acknowledged the need to perform at his best to outmatch such a formidable competitor.

“This place is so tough, so challenging with all the things you have to do here — rolling into the gas and rolling out of the gas, the steering wheel and keeping the tires underneath you,” said Busch.

Brad Keselowski emphasized, “Berlin is one of the toughest short tracks we go to. Brad was really good and I wasn’t sure I had anything for him until [Helio] Castroneves got up there and ran him really hard. Then I saw Brad start to slip his tires and I’m like, ‘OK, he’s right on the edge so I might have something too.”
