The excitement for the upcoming NASCAR season already has the NASCAR community energized. With less than 75 days to the prestigious Daytona 500, fans are already wishing their favorite drivers the best. However, the 2024 Cup Series season will not feature some prominent faces fans are used to seeing and among them would be the former Stewart Haas Racing driver Kevin Harvick. But it seems the #4 driver is not ready to accept the fact that he is no longer a ‘driver’.

Harvick has already announced his plans to join the FOX Sports broadcast booth in 2024. Owing to this, he has been actively involved in the run-up to the new season and made a tweet gathering the fans’ opinions about the winner of the Daytona 500. A certain fan took a diversion from the answer and pointed out that the 2014 Cup champion should remove NASCAR ‘driver’ from his Twitter bio. In return, he had to bear the brunt of Harvick’s reply.

The argument between the fan and Harvick began on a rather unexpected note. Quoting former NASCAR crew chief and current FOX analyst Larry McReynolds’ tweet about the countdown to the Daytona 500, Kevin Harvick wrote, “75 days… so who wins the @DAYTONA 500?? @NASCARONFOX”

While hundreds of NASCAR fans gathered to provide their opinion about their winners for the season opener, one user had different plans. Although he answered Harvick’s question in the first line of his tweet, he took a not-so-subtle dig at the former Cup Series champ.

He commented, “Whoever crosses the line first. But you should update your bio, no longer a NASCAR “driver.”

Kevin Harvick was, however, having none of it, as he called him “A Twitter smart a**” in return.

Fans joined Harvick’s side, showing their support in the replies. They were elated by the return of a more raw side of him.

During his days of racing in NASCAR, Kevin Harvick was once named ‘Happy Harvick’ due to his unusual and unexpected bursts of anger on and off the track. The former Stewart-Haas Racing driver has a way with words and can express his emotions strongly and bluntly. His farewell speech at the annual NASCAR awards this year is a great example, where he won $100 from Bubba Wallace after not crying on the stage.

Watching the straightforward and brutal version of Harvick has excited the NASCAR fans. One fan expressed his amusement at his clap back, saying,SAVAGE HARVICK IS BACK? SIGN ME UP”

Another fan hinted that Harvick’s retirement has reverted him to his spicy self as he commented, “Harvick tuning up the snark in retirement. I dig it!”

One more comment says that the critic might have been right, and Harvick should remove ‘driver’ from his bio and add ‘NASCAR GOAT’ instead. It read, “He’s right. Update it to NASCAR GOAT.”
