Samantha Enjoys the Perks as Kyle Busch Suffers the Expectations of Married Life

Whether they are sporting matching colors on race day or livening up Halloween as the Addams Family, Kyle and Samantha Busch have been setting relationship goals ever since they got married in 2010. But who wouldn’t want a sneak peek at what really goes behind the scenes?

Rowdy’s wife Samantha shared a hilarious rendition of their travel woes as a married couple. And in this particular instance, the 2x Cup Series champion might just have been left with the shorter end of their relationship stick.

Kyle Busch endures coordinated outfits when Samantha Busch makes travel plans

Over the years, Kyle Busch developed an image of an aggressive driver with a polarizing fanbase. It is his interactions with his family where his warmer side comes out in stark contrast to his on-track persona. If not for the occasional snippets shared by Samantha Busch, one would be hard-pressed to believe the dead-pan humor he sportingly infuses in his wife’s social media sketches. In the recently posted “travel edition” of their amusing marital tiffs, Samantha declared herself a “passenger princess” for life while the racer was permanently relegated to driving duties.

She also included the universally relatable conundrum of wanting the window seat in an airplane but having to get up multiple times during the flight. And who hasn’t carried a stunning purse on a night out even though it could not actually fit in anything? As Samantha pointed out to her husband, “All of my stuff’s gonna be in your pockets.” Kyle Busch’s travel misery did not end there. The resigned husband humorously confessed, “We’re married so I have no idea what’s packed in the suitcase but I guarantee you we’ll be coordinated somehow.”

It was no better in a diner. Busch further revealed how Samantha would not order anything for herself. But as the camera panned toward her, she was seen surreptitiously stealing her husband’s fries. However, none of these travel plans can come to fruition until they leave on time. As their video came to a close, Kyle light-heartedly enacted the most common issue that plagued a couple in a relationship. He confirmed, “I’ve been ready for an hour while she’s still getting ready.”

One can only wonder how long it would have taken when they transformed into Gomez and Morticia Addams.

A few years ago, Samantha Busch revealed the reason she began portraying the lighter moments of their relationship on social media. Speaking to Jeff Gluck, Samantha said, “I just want people to see the side of Kyle that I get to see, the kind of fun, the loving, the caring, the daddy side”

She further explained, “I think people see him for a split second whether it’s during the anthem or after the race with an interview and that’s not exactly who he really is. That’s him in race mode and that’s his job, but what I like to show is the softer side.”

As Kyle Busch grew more comfortable displaying their personal life on a public platform, the exterior persona began to drop and the loving, engaging, theatrical side gained prominence. So much so that Rowdy himself started posting his own share of quirky off-track activities.
