One part of this journey was how she dealt with wearing wigs. She explained the doubts clouding her head, “I made the leap into wearing wigs and worried: Would people stare? Does it look natural? Will it come off? The journey wasn’t easy. But today? My hair is finally growing back (wild and crazy!), and guess what? Samantha has always been very proud of her little son Brexton, who is often seen trying out new feats and accomplishing victories. On Sunday, Brexton participated in his first-ever karting experience. Brexton made his debut at the Trackhouse Motorplex and the experience did not quite go smoothly. The young racer struggled and ended in last place in his first race. While these could be big feelings for a little boy, the karting experience is indeed the first time for Brexton with numerous opportunities ahead.
Taking to Instagram and sharing the experience, Samantha wrote “Back out here at the track again today. So, I will definitely say yesterday was quite a learning experience for Brexton. He left the track quite frustrated but we tried to tell him like, he just started doing this and it was his first race.” Her words rang true immediately after, as Brexton went from 16th on the grid to an eventual 12th place finish in the race.
While Brexton has quite a bit of experience racing on the track, karting is a new experience. His journey into the sport is based on Kyle Busch’s plan for his racing future. Busch believes that with the growing importance of road courses in NASCAR, karting is the best place for young Brexton to gain the necessary experience needed for dealing with fast corners.
