Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and Richard Childress Racing driver Kyle Busch has been very happy since his record-breaking victory at Fontana. Although he looks forward and aims to win this year’s season, he recently took up an additional challenge for himself. While the passion for racing is enough motivation for a driver, a change of vehicle and track does bring in more excitement. While Rowdy took part in the non-NASCAR event, he left his wife Samantha in awe.
The Monster Energy athlete recently took part in the FloRacing Late Model Challenge presented by Kyle Larson at Volunteer Speedway. He was up against the best drivers of dirt late-model racing as well as a few NASCAR regulars like Larson and Chase Briscoe.
The dirt late-model race in Tennessee had $20,000 up for grabs for the winner. For the Late Model Challenge, he drove the #76B dirt late model by Brandon Overton and the Wells Motorsports team. Next, he will also be making his way to Bristol Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Food City Dirt Race.

Kyle Busch posted a few pictures from the race on his Instagram. It included pictures of the #76B dirt late model car and some of his pictures where he is quite visibly in action mode for the race. He wrote, “Had fun playing n the dirt @kylelarsonracin Late Model Challenge. Thanks, @boverton76 for the whip (Highlight of the night… Races’ biggest mover).”
In the battle to reach the finish line in the thrilling race, it was the Hendrick Motorsports driver who beat everyone. Given the nature of any racing event, it was not a simple win for him. Kyle Larson surprised fans while taking the lead just before fourteen laps to go. He drove his car to victory lane even though he had a flat left rear tire.
