2023 is going to be an important year for Kevin Harvick. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver is contracted with Tony Stewart’s team until the end of the 2023 season. However, his future beyond that remains a mystery.

With the Iron Man record, currently held by Jeff Gordon, well within Harvick’s reach, his concentration should be on starting every race that comes up. But at the same time, both he and Stewart & Co. will want to know what direction their relationship will move.

Asked about his future, Harvick said “I think right now, I’ll know that answer before we get to Daytona. I don’t, I don’t really have a clear answer on that right now.”

“I think as we get to Daytona, I know 100% that we will have a direction because I’m not going to start the season without knowing that direction just because of the fact that there’s just a lot of layers to unfold and really go through and evaluate. And so, we’ll see. I think it could go either way at this particular point.”
