NASCAR star Ryan Blaney is living the dream. The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Champion is known for his precision on the track and charismatic presence off it. The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series champion ended 2024 with a stellar performance, clinching P2 behind Joey Logano. This marked a third championship in a row for Team Penske as they continue to dominate the Next-Gen era.

Despite his on-track accomplishments, it’s his off-track life that’s currently stealing the spotlight. Blaney started 2025 with a celebration that left fans talking. Ryan Blaney kicks off 2025 with a bang!

Ryan Blaney’s New Year celebration became the talk of the town after pictures of him partying with Sydney Sweeney went viral. The Hollywood actress posted snaps of the night on social media. Fans quickly noticed Blaney and his wife, Gianna Tulio, in the mix, and claimed to be jealous of Blaney.

Some joked about Blaney’s charmed life, sarcastically remarking on his looks, talent, and the company he keeps. One fan quipped, “Oh look at me, I’m Ryan Blaney. I make a quarter billion dollars. I’m attractive to every woman on Earth. I party with movie stars. F— you, man.”

His hangout with Syndey Sweeney does not come as much of a surprise as the duo were seen on the tracks earlier in 2024. In November, Sweeney posted on Instagram with Ryan Blaney at Charlotte Motor Speedway with the caption, “This is awesome! Thank you @ryanblaney10 for showing me what I’ve been missing out on!” The Ford #12 drove around the tracks with Sweeney, who is an avid motorsports fan. This interaction only increased the fame of the Penske driver.

Notably, Blaney’s rise to fame isn’t a coincidence. His 2023 season was one for the books. Blaney won three races, had 8 top 5s, and 18 top 10 finishes in 36 races. His performance helped him to clinch the title with a win at Martinsville and a top finish at Phoenix. However, it was not one of the seasons when Blaney dominated.

In 2024, Blaney continued his dominance with three top-five finishes in the first five races. However, things saw a slump when he registered only one top 5 finish in the next 10 drives. Despite the struggle in the first half, Blaney made a comeback in the second half with three wins. He stayed in the mix and qualified for the championship four in two seasons in a row. In the end, Blaney failed to win the race and championship at Phoenix as he lost the title by just 0.33 seconds.

Is Ryan Blaney the luckiest man in NASCAR, or is it all hard-earned success?

Beyond racing, Blaney’s personal life has been equally captivating. In December 2024, he tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Gianna Tulio, in a winter-themed wedding in Aspen, Colorado. The intimate ceremony was attended by NASCAR stars like Chase Elliott to Dale Earnhardt Jr. Notably, the couple first met in 2018 in a club in Las Vegas and have been inseparable since then.

As Blaney looks ahead to 2025, he remains focused on both personal and professional growth. Apart from his NASCAR campaign with Team Penske, he is likely to try the double in 2025. In June last year, he had spoken about it and had expressed his interest. “There’s always interest there. I think it’s really special if you get to do The Double. I’m trying to start a petition, I don’t know if say this or not, but [Scott McLaughlin] doing The Double. I don’t think that’s ever been done,” he was quoted as saying by usatoday.com.

Fans hail the ‘luckiest guy’

Ryan Blaney’s New Year celebration didn’t just make headlines; it sparked waves of reactions from fans. Social media buzzed with comments that ranged from envy to admiration. One fan wrote, “My man! He has hit the jackpot of life, and it’s not even funny anymore.” Another fan echoed the same and wrote, “The luckiest guy alive.”

Another fan made a nod to Blaney being a Ford driver and Sydney Sweeney’s collaboration with Ford last year. “Just a couple Ford spokespeople hanging out.” In Jan 2024, Sweeney teamed up with Ford to give one lucky fan a custom Ford Mustang GT designed by Sweeney herself.

But the reactions weren’t just about the party. Fans pointed to Blaney’s family legacy as a foundation for his success. One user commented, “I’d take advantage as much as I could too if I was born in a NASCAR family.” It’s worth noting that Blaney is a fourth-generation racing driver. His great-grandfather George started a racing team in the mid-20th century, which established the Ohio Racing Family.

The legacy was then led by his son Lou Blaney who won more than 600 races in his 47-year-long racing career. He won six sprint car championships between 1972 to 1978. Building on his legacy his son Dave (Ryan Blaney’s father) took over the sprint car wheels from his father. He soon moved to the NASCAR Cup Series while his brother Dale took over the sprint car.

Ryan then followed his family tradition and took over his father’s duties in NASCAR and earned the first title for the family in 2023. With such a huge family legacy and two back-to-back shots at a championship, Ryan would hope for another stellar year in NASCAR in 2025. Another solid performance will surely strengthen his position as one of the best drivers of the modern era.
