Ryan Blaney was visibly ruffled during the final stretch at Phoenix, a familiar sight for those who’ve followed his career. He confessed in his post-race interview that even the thought of a near-miss at championship glory left him fuming. However, with the 2023 Cup Championship now under his belt, Blaney’s got a full plate ahead.
His new role as champion means juggling appearances at numerous NASCAR events and shouldering the responsibility of representing the sport. It’s a tall order, one that might overwhelm the average Joe. With the champion’s crown comes the expectation of a cooler, more patient demeanor. Yet, in a recent interview, Ryan Blaney hinted that he’s not about to change his stripes when it comes to his approach.
