The NASCAR world is gearing up for the upcoming season to begin. Starting with the Daytona 500 in February, fans will get to see their favorites racing on the track. With Jimmie Johnson returning this year, names joining him for the race will be Bubba Wallace, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Alex Bowman, Chase Elliott, William Byron, and many more.
Some NASCAR drivers always carried charisma, which made them look beyond the race. A lot of them have turned entrepreneurs, diversifying in creating various brands and adding value to themselves. This also gives fans a lot to look forward to from their favorite star. For instance, the legend Jeff Gordon created a brand of himself. His very presence in the media was very popular, be it TV shows, ads, films, music videos, or the internet.

Recently, Rev. Rob Branning, a sports enthusiast, who is very active on his Twitter, posted a picture of Jeff Gordon from the Saturday Night Live Show. With the picture he wrote, “If a #Nascar driver were to host SNL today, who should it be?” With a lot of amazing talent at NASCAR, fans couldn’t stop themselves from guessing who the next host should be. Though it is indeed tough to match the charm Gordon carries, the next generation has to take on the legacy. The top names surfacing from the comments from the fans were Bubba Wallace and Ryan Blaney. Well, they both certainly carry the charm and wit to take on as a host for SNL.

Blaney, Bubba, KyBu, or Denny are all rock solid picks.
My one random pick who I think would be really good as well would be Reddick.

Jeff Gordon is a name that cannot be easily forgotten. All the achievements and accolades he gathered over the years in NASCAR contributed to creating a big place for him and the community. The four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion became a big part of pop culture. He was a part of films, advertisements, and talk shows as a guest as well as host, etc which gave NASCAR the same popularity that he received. His NASCAR fans definitely loved him, but he also ended up making more fans in the process.
There is a really long list of work that Gordon has done outside the racing community. Microsoft Windows in 1999 created a game ‘Jeff Gordon XS Racing’ with him as its main character. He was seen as a host/co-host on television shows like Jeff Gordon Wide Open, Live with Kelly and Ryan, WindTunnel with Dave Despain, World’s Greatest Sports Bloopers, and Saturday Night Live show to name some.
His stint in the films as an actor or voice-over artist or being himself has also been remarkable. Pepsi created a short film on him called ‘Pepsi Max & Jeff Gordon Present: Test Drive.’ As a guest, he has made his presence felt numerous times on tv shows. He was also a part of films like Looney Tunes: Back in Action, Herbie: Fully Loaded, Cars 2 & 3, etc. Well, just like his contribution to NASCAR has been infinite, it can be said the same for his work outside of the world of media.
