Known as the official beer of NASCAR, Busch Light has been associated with the sport since 1979. Yet, when it comes to sponsorship ties, Anheuser Busch has been associated with Stewart Haas Racing and Kevin Harvick, since 2014. With the Happy Harvick era nearing its end, it looks like one of NASCAR’s premier partners has found its new probable home. And Trackhouse Racing’s Ross Chastain looks like a favorable choice at the moment.

According to Sports Business Journal’s Adam Stern, with Kevin Harvick’s retirement, Trackhouse Racing is currently Anheuser Busch’s favorite probable partner. The brewing company might sponsor Trackhouse Racing’s breakout star, Ross Chastain, in the upcoming seasons.

Although no official announcement has yet been made, it’s clear that the brewing company is on the lookout for a new deal. A spokesperson of Busch Light told Stern, “Busch Light has and always will be passionate about NASCAR. We continue to be invested in the sport as an official sponsor and will always find ways to show up at races and provide new opportunities for our fans in 2023 and beyond. When it comes to sponsoring new drivers, nothing is off the table.”

NASCAR fans react to the news of Stewart Haas Racing possibly losing its primary sponsor

Although the news of Anheuser Busch choosing Trackhouse Racing sounds good for the team, it definitely isn’t that great for Stewart Haas Racing, and its owners Tony Stewart and Gene Haas. The fact that the team is not able to retain its longtime sponsor with its existing driver lineup, sounds concerning to a lot of NASCAR fans.

Explaining how this might crumble Stewart Haas Racing’s future, a lot of fans predicted the team’s probable downfall on social media. They wrote,

The details of Stewart Haas Racing and Anheuser Busch’s deal are currently unclear. However, reportedly, the size of the brewing company’s annual spend on sponsorship is estimated to be in the mid-seven figure range. Hence, losing them would certainly affect the finances of Stewart Haas Racing.

However, for Trackhouse, this might turn out to be a huge deal. Apart from the legacy and sponsorship brought in by Anheuser Busch, the team can also count on rapper Pitbull – a partner who has worked with Trackhouse as well as Anheuser Busch before.
