Rain has time and again disrupted play during NASCAR’s 2023 season. Keeping in line with the rain-drenched theme, the FireKeepers Casino 400 race at the Michigan International Speedway saw a delay owing to inclement weather. With cars returning to Pit Road, frustration flared high throughout the racing community.

While the fans were disheartened by the race delay, a crew member from Ross Chastain’s Trackhouse Racing team had the NASCAR world in splits.

Ranking seventh on NASCAR’s Cup Series standings, Ross Chastain has cemented himself as a championship favorite. Instigating the infamous ‘punch-gate’ incident at Kansas earlier this season, NASCAR’s Watermelon Man then stole fans’ hearts with a flawless performance at Nashville.

Winning the Ally 400 Cup Series race without any controversies, Chastain then made headlines after announcing a multi-year deal with Anheuser-Busch to his sponsor list starting from the 2024 season.

While the #1 Trackhouse Racing driver has been the attention grabber, this time around Ross Chastain’s team member stole the spotlight. While the NASCAR world remained engulfed in frustration over the race delay, Ross Chastain appeared for an interview in Pit Road. While the #1 driver spoke to the reporter, a Trackhouse Racing crew member played out a hilarious display of peek-a-boo behind Ross Chastain, using what appeared to be paper cups as binoculars.

With the incident being broadcasted live, Trackhouse Racing driver, Daniel Suarez posted a video of the same on Twitter, writing, “Hey @RossChastain I haven’t heard a word you said amigo all I can see is you got company [laughing emoji]”.
