Ross Chastain may be running a bleak Cup schedule so far, but he has chances of upturning that in Xfinity. He has 12 previous Xfinity starts at Dover Motor Speedway, all with JD Motorsports and Kaulig Racing. Chastain’s last two races at the Monster Mile were in 2020, where he finished third and second.
Holding two NASCAR Xfinity Series wins in Las Vegas and Daytona, the Trackhouse Racing driver might notch some in 2024 as well. Recently, DGM Racing announced that they will include the Trackhouse driver for an Xfinity schedule this year.

Chastain’s association with DGM Racing is not new. The Canadian stock car racing team has fielded Chastain in nine Xfinity race starts since 2022. The Trackhouse Cup driver has also clinched two top-five finishes for the team. These came at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course and Watkins Glen International.
Now the Xfinity team is geared up to welcome Chastain into their fold again. Bob Pockrass updated on X: “Ross Chastain will do five Xfinity races for DGM Racing in its No. 92 car. He can’t do Dover b/c it is a Dash 4 Cash race. His schedule of races are TBD.”

“It’s always a pleasure to welcome Ross back to the team and build on our momentum from years past,” said DGM team owner Mario Gosselin in a statement. “We’re thankful for the partnership with Chevrolet and to Trackhouse Racing for allowing him to compete with us year after year!”
Ross Chastain will compete in five Xfinity races this year under the DGM banner. Driving the No. 92 Chevrolet Camaro, he will make his season debut for the team at Dover Motor Speedway. DGM is yet to announce the rest of Chastain’s 5-race schedule.

For Chastain’s 2024 Xfinity program, The Delaware Office of Highway Safety will serve as the primary partner. They will promote their “Drive Sober Arrive Alive” campaign. They have sponsored Chastain earlier as well, fielding the melon farmer’s car in 2016 under JD Motorsports.

Having also been a partnering ambassador for the Department of Public Safety in 2023, Chastain highlighted the importance of road rules while comparing it to his high-speed drama on race tracks. “In the race car, we’ve got nine seat belts. Then I get in a Chevy truck to drive to the airport to fly to Daytona and I’ve got two belts and one buckle. It’s really a no-brainer. Everything we do in the race is driven by highway safety, and highway safety feeds it back to race cars.”
In line with his sponsor’s aspirations, rowdy Ross Chastain will hopefully avoid road rages and play safe in his Xfinity starts this year.
